But this really shouldn’t put us off having a stretch everyday. You can use these apps/online classes anywhere, on your phone or laptop or TV. All you need is to take a moment, check you’re wearing something comfy and clear a little space for your body and your mind…

Used in homes and schools internationally, the videos on this Youtube channel are made for kids – with a focus on yoga, mindfulness, stories and relaxation. There’s an interactive adventure element that helps keep children interested whilst they build strength balance and confidence.
Our own Yoga Girl Rachel Brathen’s online classes can be chosen by your preference of yoga style, ability level and body focus and you can get the first 10 days trial free of charge. There’s emphasis on community, with a range of teachers and experts to choose from.
Jessamyn Stanley is a yoga instructor and a body activist on a mission to promote self esteem and defy stereotypes about who can do yoga.
